As this response occurs all our energy is directed to survival so our heart beats quickly, the blood flows to our extremities and is directed to our muscles, this creates a surge of energy that will support us in moving fast if we have to.

What’s is an anxiety attack or panic attack?

So physically our bodies are responding to a fear hard-wired for thousands of years, however the trigger is different from a dinosaur, though it is usually something from our past. Something that our brain could not deal with at the time so stored until it felt you had the capacity to deal with the issue.

Unlike cavemen we are not in a position of running away from a dinosaur to work of the chemicals released in our body so have to find an alternative way to deal with the release of these chemicals.
